On the last day of last term ( 19th of october) was international day. It is one of the biggest events in my international school. IB students planned the day and set up everything with teachers.Year 12 students organized some activities and each countries were allocated at every rooms. And year 13 students organised the GYM for talent show and prepared the dining hall. In the morning we put the carpet on the gym and carried chairs for students and parents. Also we carried some musical instrument such as drums that was used during the concert. At 11 O'clock parents were coming to school and we were supposed to guide them. In my school there are many Korean parents, so I was really busy to translate for them and helping them to set up the foods. This was my last international day in BIS 3 So I did my best.
There were some learning outcomes

Gym
In this term, I had two goals that I wanted to achieve - Increasing my stamina, Increasing the muscles. For doing it I went to a gym called 'world class' which is infront of my house every weekend . For showing my progress, first of all I measured how much kg I can afford and how much time I can run. On the first day I ran about 30 minutes with the speed 5km/h~ 7km/h. And I could fold my arms 15 times with 5kg weight. I went to the gym regularly and I also could increase my stamina by doing the badminton club in my school.
After 2 month, I measured how much kg I can afford and how much time I can run. This time, I ran about 45 minutes wit the speed 5km/h~ 7km/h. And I could fold my arms 30 times with 5kg weight now. There was very obvious progress and I feel proud of it.
There were some learning objects from this activity.
I had increased my awareness of my own strengths and areas of growth.
I had shown perseverance and commitment in my activity.
Making kimchi
Kimchi is one of the famous Korean foods. This is not only tasty but also very healthy food. Scientists figured out that Kimchi contains many good nutrient that fight against diseases. It is a tradition to make Kimchi before the winter (about October ~Novemebr).
Making kimchi is called "Kimjang'. My mom and I decided to do it.
First, I needed to spray salts to the cabbage. And then I made the special spicy sauce for Kimchi. I used the powder of peppers, pear, onion, gingers etc. After I finish the sauce I combine it with the salted cabbage. Usually we do not eat this directly. We save it under the ground for several months and eat it. But in Moscow , I can not do that so we just saved it in the fridge.
By this activity
I developed new skills
I had undertaken new challenges

Clean up day
on 29th of september, there was a project ran by my father's company (Hyundai). We went to the national park called the Prioksko-Terrasny National park. This project was named 'clean-up day'. Many people who are working in this company and their family participated in this project. So we divided people in to three groups. There were many works to do - Transferring timbers to another place, painting fence and etc. I was sent to the red group ( as you can see in the picture) and my group decided to paint the fence. People in my group got a basket of green paint and a brush for each. It was much more difficult than I thought since it is my first time to paint a fence. After this project, I was so proud that I was one of the participants in the clean up day.
There are many learning outcomes from this activity.
I developed new skills - It was my first time to paint the fence.
I worked collaboratively with others- We worked as a group , and I could know many people from my father's company.
Considered the ethical implication of my actions - I did not get paid for this work. I just volunteered for cleaning up the national park.
Engaged with issues of global importance - Participating in clean-up day.
Teaching guitar
I started to teach playing guitar to people in the church.
I have been playing guitar for almost 2 years. I started to play a guitar since
I am doing the CAS activities. Now I can play guitar very well comparing to the
previous year. I noticed that there are some people who want to play guitar in
my church. I decided to teach them.
Usually
people in the church want to learn how to play a guitar because of praise.
So I asked them choose one song that they want to play and I taught how to play
the song. There are many basic skills that they need to learn. but their aim
was playing the guitar only for the praise. So I skipped to teach how to read
the melody and some basic stuffs and I started to teach chords. Chords are the
only thing what they need for playing guitar in this case. I am still teaching
them how to play it and I hope that before the new year they can play at least
3 songs. So teaching them 3 songs is my final aim of this activity
There are some learning objectives from this activity.
I had increased my awareness of my own strengths and areas
for growth. I had undertaken new challenges (teaching how to play a guitar).

Badminton club
Until last year Mr. Mann was the supervisor of the badminton club and he was running this club but since he left the school year 13 students started to run this club and I am one of them who are running the club. I worked collaboratively with others for doing it.
First, I encouraged students who are from different year group to join the club.As a result, some other IB students from year 12 , and some other students from key stage 3 and even other teachers came to our badminton club.
Since there are new members of badminton club, I had to explain the rule of badminton. But some members had played for a long time with us so they can play very well. I also played for a long time so I could get some difficult skills such as smashing. By doing this activity I can increase my stamina. This exercise is quite hard than we are thinking, we play badminton for an hour. And if you jump and chase the shuttlecock that is really hard work. Also this is good for the arm and leg muscles.
There are many learning outcomes from it. I had increased my awareness of my own strength and areas for growth. I had planned and initiated activities. I worked collaboratively with others and I developed new skills
