Since I am a christian, I attend to a Korean church in Moscow. There is a system that we donate clothes and books or any other stuffs that poor people and orphans might need in our church. If we donate them they are sent to Korean orphanage or church that provides stuff for very cheap price. So this term, I decided to donate books and clothes that I do not use in now days. I donated about 10 clothes including pants and shirts and 20 books including novels and comic books.
People in the church said that these books will be donated to the library of an orphanage and the clothes will be sent to the same orphanage and if there will be no one who wants my clothes it will be sent to the church that provide stuffs for very cheap price. It is very similar to the jumble sale that I did in my school.
Through this service I learnt that useless things for me will be very useful to others. There were some learning outcomes from this activity. I had considered the ethical implications of my action. Also, since I donate the clothes and books they can be used one more time so I had engaged with issues of global importance
